Kam Gillespie

(Full name Kamlesh) was born in India and moved to England when she was seven. Most of her education was in the UK (London University and St. Andrews in Scotland) where she was trained as an economist. She moved to the Washington area in 1979 and worked at the World Bank for 10 years. Kam was introduced to the practice of yoga as a teenager by her father, a world renowned yoga practitioner and teacher who was bestowed with the title of Swami. She has also maintained a decades-long practice of mindful meditation.

The Farm

Kam, along with her daughter Haley and husband Wayne, purchased what was then Harley Farm B&B in 1993. The 65-acre farm originally operated as a working dairy farm. Numerous renovations and additions have provided modern comfort while allowing for immersion with nature and seclusion from hustle and bustle. For years, guests have enjoyed this tranquil getaway as a perfect retreat from life’s stressors. Currently, the farm operates as a retreat center, rental property and spa facility.
